courses do you offer?

How
much does taking a class with NCSSM Distance Education
cost?
Classes offered through NCSSM Distance Education are cost-free to any school in North Carolina. We are funded by direct appropriations to NCSSM from the North Carolina State Legislature.
-
What
do I need to take a class?
You will need a classroom with videoconferencing capabilities, a codec, some microphones, a video monitor and a high speed internet connection. You'll also need a classroom facilitator to dial-in to the session and supervise the class. Our IVC How-to
section is a great resource for detailed tips and information on how to get started.
-
How
do I enroll?
You will fill out and send to us a class
request form, that is available during the enrollment period. This lets us know what class your school is interested in taking. Then we'll reply to you, and let you know what's available and we go from there.
-
When
is the enrollment period?
Enrollment for our classes (both fall and spring), starts in early spring. Check our
calendar
for the exact dates.
