St. Louis, MO - May 5, 2010 -- The United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) presented its 2010 International Distance Learning Awards to Dr. Cristine Clarke in conjunction with the 2010 National Conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

USDLA's prestigious International Awards are presented annually to organizations and individuals engaged in the development and delivery of distance learning programs.

Durham, NC. March 31, 2009.      The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics has been recognized as Video Champion in Education and Training for Distance Learning in the Video Champion Awards, sponsored by TANDBERG.

"The Video Champion Award recognizes the energetic and resourceful efforts NCSSM staff have made to serve educators and students statewide. With growing interest in global awareness and 21st Century learning skills, we anticipate expanding use of this technology in classrooms. for Distance Learning

The USDLA 21st Century Best Practice Award recognizes outstanding leadership in the field of distance learning for an agency, institution, or company incorporating blended or individual distance learning technologies. This year's award recognizes the pioneering efforts of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) in establishing a statewide K-12 distance learning program via two-way videoconferencing.
