The
North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Distance Education
Technologies is pleased to announce the latest "Curriculum
Toolkit" catalog of enrichment classes. This listing of no-fee
distance learning opportunities for Elementary, Middle and High School
students and teachers is offered over the North Carolina Information
Highway.
These sessions not only provide enrichment but they also provide instruction
in "hard to teach" concepts. We have paid particular attention to
covering concepts listed in the N.C. Standard Course of Study and
the AP Calculus Topical Outline in a unique and interesting manner.
We offer enrichment sessions at a variety of specified times throughout the year. However, if these times do not meet your needs you may request the dates and times that better fit your class schedule, curriculum, and room use. We will attempt to fill your request. Each session will provide approximately 55 minutes of two-way, interactive programming unless otherwise indicated.
NCSSM Distance Education also provides the opportunity for students,
parents, and teachers to "visit" the North Carolina School of Science
and Mathematics and talk to an admissions department representative
via the NCIH. In addition, we invite high school students and their
parents to an informational session about Summer
Ventures in Science and Mathematics, a four-week inter-institutional
program of the University of North Carolina system.
