The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) offers tuition-free year-long and semester-long high school courses to North Carolina schools via two-way interactive videoconferencing.

NCSSM Distance Education teachers partner with high schools on the NCIH to create teacher collaborations. The collaboration provides teachers with an opportunity to integrate technology and new approaches into an existing course, adopt a new course or develop an AP course. Teachers involved in collaborations meet once a week with the class and once a week to plan and to discuss issues. Collaborations are effective for new teachers and teachers teaching out of field.

The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) has created the following year-long high school web-based courses. Interested parties should contact the North Carolina Virtual Public School - http://www.ncvps.org/
  • AP Physics (Dr. Loren Winters)
  • AP Calculus BC (Ms. Anna DeConti)
