Algebra 2 Lessons
Lessons designed for the ninety-minute
block Algebra 2 class have been developed through Distance Learning collaborations
with Algebra 2 teachers in North Carolina and teachers in the Mathematics
Department of NCSSM. These lessons directly address the state curriculum
and the End of Course test and are based in the real world, use concepts
of mathematics modeling, and require access to a graphing calculator by
every student.
Each lesson lists the current goals of the North Carolina Curriculum addressed
in the lesson, the materials necessary for students to successfully complete
the lesson, and activities for the class with teacher notes and answers.
The lesson includes a classroom-ready handout and a follow-up problem
for students. In some cases, power point slides or animations are included.
Many of the settings for the lessons are based on the published Indicators
for Algebra 2 developed by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
